7 Steps to a brand new website
Like most businesses, we rely on word of mouth for new business. That’s why maintaining a very high standard of work is as important to us as it is to you. To ensure all websites designed by ISCA Marketing are of a really high quality, all sites are developed using this 7 step process.
Briefing
Usually a 1 hr meeting is the best way to kick start your new website. During the meeting we’ll discuss: your business’ goals, your expectations, your intentions for the website and any specific requirements. Iit’s important for us to understand how your website fits in with your overall business plan.
Strategy Phase
Everything begins with a strategy. Building a website without creating a strategy is like setting out on a journey without a map. During this phase, we’ll discuss whether or not you will need to consider online marketing techniques like Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) in order to meet the goals you set for your site.
Design Phase
With the strategy bedded down, we’ll present you with a ‘mockup’ design of your new homepage. Together we’ll continue to refine the design until you are confident that the look is portraying the type of image you want to present your customers.
Content
You can have the best looking website in the world, but if the content isn’t well-written, engaging and relevant, your audience will soon lose interest. Copywriting can a challenge for businesses who are short of time and confidence in their writing skills. We offer both copywriting and photography services to keep your project moving.
Development Phase
With the content and design agreed upon, we now turn to the ‘build’ phase. This phase usually takes between 4-6 weeks to create a test version of your new website. Once the development is complete you will be provided with a private link to the new website for your comments and feedback.
Testing and Sign-Off
If you have an extensive online shopping cart or other detailed features, we will take the time to work through the sales processes to ensure the website is completely bug-free before releasing it to your customers. We’ll host a training session with your team, to ensure everyone can confidently manage the website.
